Second Monday and Third Tuesday of the school year.

You might be wondering why my title is Second Monday and Third Tuesday. Well, the school year officially opened on June 13 '06 which is a Tuesday (GMT+8). We should have began the school year on the twelfth but it was the Independence Day on that day (Philippines).

On Monday, I didn't write here so I'll just quickly write what happened. It was a....... typical day that morning when my Chinese Literature teacher said or had said that we will have a big test on the next day(Tues.). I was shocked because we only studied for some time then there it is -- a big quiz! Anyway after that, its like dejavu until near dismissal, my last class, when my Chinese teacher said that the test was cancelled - I was happy and sad at the same time(when most teachers delay their test, they will most likely be making the test harder. No.) Rumours started spreading that someone complained. I didn't believe
at first until Tuesday came. That dismissal, my friends and I greeted my teacher but to my dismay, she didn't even smile/look at me. (aw.. lol. Like I care!)

Tuesday, the sky was blue(lol). My first class was Chinese. I saw my Chinese teacher, she didn't smile the whole period.(My hypothesis is that she got scolded by the headteacher??/principal?? when he/she recieved the news. lol.). Earth Science class passed by(quite boring so I chatted with my seatmates). English Class was quite fun since we/all get to say something to the class. I was fun, really(It's a long story). We get to say our mottos in life . So after that, my friends thought that it was like a common CHINESE class again(by a different teacher), we got surprised when she said that we'd go to the auditorium to do or hear somthing. When we got to the auditorium, we only saw 1st year students (like me) so we wondered why were there atm. We found out that there were people that suggested (directly) to the principal (not the teacher) that the Chinese Test be moved to Friday or Wednesday. We had a meeting with the teachers and headteachers that teach Chinese literature in High 1. The people who reported were asked what was the reason why they reported it to the principal. Well, I thought they were going to be sermoned/punished for what they've done but fortunately, all they got was a applaud after they explained the reason(not sure how to say it since I'm only 13). Then we were all asked when we want to make the Chinese tests easier. Many wanted to make it easier. Then we were again asked, that if they were to make the standards lower(meaning easier) for the chinese classes then if we reach High 4 and graduate we will not blame them(the school/teachers). ***forgive my grammar as I don't know how to explain it well*** Only few raised their hands. Why? because if they were to lower the standards of a high-class school(meaning high class education)then it would not be able to maintain the level of the students that graduate in the school.(Many people repeat their courses in this school because of failing grades, maybe because of the high-standard education)Meaning that we, the students want to maintain the standards that this school was known for. After that we were asked(AGAIN.) when we want the test to be. We answered Friday. We couldn't have tests on Mondays,Wednesdays and Saturdays because we follow a definite test schedule for the chinese tests. That concluded the meeting to make it short. Gen. Science was always a fun subject since we make experiments and do activities in the lab. AP(Araling Panlipunan) was fun because IMO the teacher doesn't care even if we are noisy. I chatted with my friends almost all class but I also listened of course! We were then dismissed and that concluded the school day. Thank you for reading this long entry and bearing with my bad grammar and some typos if you've seen some!
